HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The West Lamar Water Association has issued a boil water notice for customers Thursday.
According to Jason Barrett, an operator for West Lamar Water Association, about 400 customers will be affected by the notice as it was issued due to an emergency repair.
Below are the affected areas for the boil water notice:
Amherst Historical Society s Sandstone Village is decked out with a record number of Christmas lights and decorations for this month for families to enjoy.
Historical Society Executive Director Sandy Kaiser said the decorations get more involved and expansive every year, with hundreds of hours of volunteer work put into the display at 113 S. Lake St. in Amherst. It s a good solid three weeks of volunteer work, Kaiser said.

The Christmas lights and wreaths decorate the grounds, in doorways and windows, with a manger display and deer figures placed in the village as well.
