Group used $16K in fake bills at then-Sands Bethlehem, 4 other casinos, AG says

A group from Philadelphia is accused of using thousands of dollars in counterfeit money last year at Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and four other Pennsylvania casinos.
Kiara Kristin Purnell, Mahagany White, Nieem Johnson and Marcus Davis allegedly passed a total of 150 fake bills in the spring of 2019 at the Sands (now Wind Creek Bethlehem), Parx, SugarHouse (now Rivers Casino Philadelphia), Valley Forge Resort and Harrah’s casinos.
Three have been arrested, and authorities are still looking for the 31-year-old Purnell.
The four each face charges of forgery, theft by deception, possessing instruments of crime and conspiracy in Bucks County Court. The charges were filed by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Gaming Enforcement.
