A community market is held the first Wednesday of every month at the St. Martin Community Center.
The market operates from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and invites all to buy from the multiple vendors selling pretty much everything you can think of.
During July’s market, they had everything from art, handmade crafts, fresh produce, goodies, and a food truck was parked outside. The coordinator calls it a ‘one-stop shop.’
The market is held indoors so it goes on rain or shine and has been in operation for a little over a year now.
For vendors like Deonne Olier, she’s thrilled to be a part of the growing market that gives locals an opportunity to buy local. “The handcrafts are better. They’re better because they take a lot of time and it’s just not something you get from a factory. You get better quality and to just see locals put their hearts into it.”
