Measure B: Cathedral City voters decide on short-term rentals Tuesday

Cathedral City voters will head to the polls on Tuesday to decide whether most short-term vacation rentals in the city should be phased out by 2023.  A “yes” vote on Measure B upholds Ordinance 842, which includes the phase-out provision passed by the Cathedral City Council last September. A “no” vote will revert to a prior set of regulations on short-term rentals in the city. On Monday, supporters of Measure B held their final rally. About 25 people gathered at the corner of Highway 111 and Cathedral Canyon Drive, to wave signs that said, No to Party Resorts, Defend Our Neighborhoods, and Neighborhoods are for Neighbors.
