Are space cadets making these rules? Glaswegians react to Nicola Sturgeon s lockdown announcement GLASWEGIANS have had their say on First Minister Nicola Sturgeon s most recent lockdown announcement for the city. Speaking at a Covid media briefing today, Ms Sturgeon confirmed that Glasgow will remain in Level 3 for at least another week. Neighbouring East Renfrewshire - Scotland s current coronavirus capital - will, however, remain under more relaxed restrictions. The First Minister said that because of the lower numbers of cases in East Renfrewshire, the Government had taken the decision to keep the local authority in Level 2. Glasgow s lockdown will be reviewed in the coming days, with Ms Sturgeon adding that she could not promise the city will remain in Level 3 for just one week.
