There are reports that Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka also known as Baba Ijesha will be released from police custody any time from now.
The Lagos State Police command says they’re still investigating the alleged rape case between Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha and one 14-year-old girl but a directive has been given by the Police Command for the release of the alleged child molester, according to Punch.
The source said due to the ongoing strike by members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, courts have halted activities which means the suspect could not be detained indefinitely without trial.
The source, however, said the investigation into the recent allegation against Baba Ijesha revealed that he did not defile the victim, adding that when she was questioned, the victim confirmed the same.

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A viral video captured a Nigerian policeman caught begging a Spanish biker for money has sparked outrage.
In the two-minute footage obtained , the officer who signaled the Spanish biker to a halt quizzed him and urged the biker to give him money.
The policeman said: “What did you bring for us? Don’t tell me that […that you don’t have anything].”
He insisted on extracting money from him, even if it means receiving it in foreign currency.
