The Cure for Hate

Among the stops of the documentary, "The Cure For Hate", is a showing today in Sandpoint. The film will be shown today, Oct. 22, at First Presbyterian Church, 417 N. Fourth Ave., Sandpoint. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the film begins at 6 p.m. A question-and-answer session will follow, led by moderator Jim Healey. All are welcome to attend this free event.

FOL book sale is Saturday

Thanks to the Friends of the Library's monthly book sale on Saturday, you can stock up and be prepared. The sale, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., takes place at the Sandpoint Library, 1407 Cedar St.

The power of the spoken world will be celebrated at the annual 100,000 Poets for Change event this weekend. Lost Horse Press, the Bonner County Human Rights Task Force, and the Sandpoint Library are co-sponsoring the tenth annual event that will take place simultaneously with over 800 other open mics across the globe.

IDL adding 3 mobile sites

Starting Monday, Sept. 18, the Idaho Department of Labor is opening three mobile locations will open in Bonner County. Locations will be at the Sandpoint Community Resource Envision Center, the Sandpoint Library and VFW Post 10320 in Clark Fork – making 31 mobile locations available across Idaho.
