Armed with input from the public, city officials, and Sandpoint's Waterfront Design Competition jury, the winning design firm will unveil its revised vision for the city's downtown next week.
The presentation will take place Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be open to the public for in-person viewing in City Council Chambers at Sandpoint City Hall, 1123 Lake St., or online at sandpointidaho.gov/stage2design.
There will likely be no lifeguards on duty at City Beach this summer.
With only five applicants, Sandpoint City Administrator Jennifer Stapleton told the council Wednesday that the city does not have staffing to operate its lifeguard program.
The city is hosting a free public inclusive play presentation and playground tour in mid-May.
Jill Moore, a specialist from Landscape Structures Inc., will present information about inclusive play in the Sandpoint City Hall council chambers, 1123 Lake St., on May 16. The presentation will be followed by a playground tour of the Travers Park playground, 2102 Pine St.
