Wisbech Minor Injury Unit (MIU) will temporarily close to the public from January 18 to enable staff to tackle the growing Covid-19 pandemic in the community,
“It will enable the experienced staff to be redeployed to provide vital additional capacity elsewhere in the local community,” said Dr Gary Howsam.
He is chair of NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) that made the decision.
There is help available for anyone in Cambridgeshire with mental health issues.

A man appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month in connection with the incident. On Tuesday night, police gave an update and Detective Constable Sandie Smith, of Dalkeith CID, said: “Following further enquiries into the theft of hot tubs from a business premises in Macmerry, East Lothian, on Friday, December 11, a 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged. “A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. “A 31-year-old man has already appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, December 14, in connection with the thefts.”
