Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao has asked the people’s representatives, particularly the representatives of rural local bodies (RLBs), and officials who have planted one-crore saplings on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s birthday on February 17 to protect them till reached a safe stage to grow on their own.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar directed State department officials to simplify and reduce the compliance burden related to inspections, registrations, renewals, maintaining records licenses/permissions, returns filings and any other issues in the State as per the directions of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao .
A review meeting with State officials on reducing compliance burden in seven departments including Revenue (CT & Excise), Civil Supplies, Transport, Energy, Home, MA&UD, LET&F shared by DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) was conducted on Tuesday at BRKR Bhavan.

Mandated to receive complaints and pass awards in 30 days of receipt of complaint
The State government has announced appointment of ombudspersons for all the 32 districts, classified as rural, to oversee the works taken up under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
The appointment follows the revised guidelines issued by the Central government as per Section 30, Schedule (1) of the MGNREGS Act, mandating States to appoint ombudspersons for each district. The ombudspersons, according to the Act, are entrusted with receiving grievances, launching an inquiry and passing awards.
Chief Secretary asks officials to take road safety measures

Hyderabad: As per the instructions of Chief Minister, a meeting was conducted by the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on road safety measures.
The Chief Secretary underlined the need to make concerted efforts to minimize road accidents and fatalities in the state.
Presiding over the road safety meeting at BRKR Bhavan today, he asked all the engineering departments pertaining to National Highways, R&B , Panchayat Raj and GHMC to ensure that all requisite short term measures are completed by the 15th of next month.
