Football BARNTON S historic FA Vase run is over. The Villagers, playing in the second round for the first time, were undone 4-0 at home by Seaham Red Star in a tie delayed from last weekend when the clash was postponed due to a waterlogged Townfield pitch. Barnton trailed by just the one goal after an even first half in which both sides had created a couple of chances. But when Paul Gardiner netted with a free header at the back post two minutes into the second half for the team operating one level higher in the Northern League Division One it was going to be a long way back for Barnton.
