"It s mating season so they’ll have pups in the spring. So you just really have to watch. You just got to really watch your small dogs. It s never a good idea to let them out by themselves especially at dusk or dawn. That’s when the coyotes are going to be really active and they will jump your fence and take your dog," said Tracy Arvivson, coordinator with Sand Springs Animal Welfare.
