learning what kids were learning in the classroom as parents stood over their shoulders as they were virtual learning. but here we are for the 2024 election, how big of an issue do you see this becoming? oh, it continues to be big. because remember, that s what swept us into office because parents realized their children were not learning when they were in front of the screens and yet private schools were open from five days a week for a whole year, so what, is covid that smart it does not go to private schools, we got elected, the governor opened up the schools, told them we will get rid of the masks we heard that and now put forward policies that says we will not separate parents from their children. the rights don t stop when they drop them off at the door and pick them up. this is plain common sense, sandra. i don t know what could be controversial about parents in charge of their children s lives. john: lieutenant governor, what two of the most prominent

crossed over illegally. and this administration s doing nothing to stop it. and eric adams along with new york city s sanctuary policies have created a mess. they ve taken in over 80,000 migrants since the spring of last year, they have nowhere where else to house them. they ve been trying to ship them up into the suburbs, into the hudson valley and long island, and now they re trying to use schools to house them. we need to secure the border, we need to increase border patrol, need to increase the number of court personnel that hear these asylum cases expeditiously, and new york city needs to change its sanctuary city policies. will: a spokesperson is saying, while this option s not ideal, none are, and we re in no position to take anything off the table. this is just, as you said, this is a consequence of sanctuary city policies. this is nothing is ideal, then why do you have this policy that creates situations that are not ideal? well, that s just it. i mean, they had this polic
off guard, they were able to essentially put these nonprofits on the ground before these migrants were here. she says they found out about all of this in the middle of the night, essentially, as the migrants were on their way here and says they are going to take care of them and try to figure out exactly what to do with the migrants. here is what some of the leaders are saying about this. we are in the process of trying to reunify those families. these are very complicated cases and people s lives are at stake. the governor of texas is using human beings as a political stunt. we ll keep pushing for our sanctuary policies to make sure that immigrants and migrants know they are safe here, they are welcome here. and just this month, the city council here in los angeles voting to draft a policy, a sanctuary city policy that would eventually become the law here in los angeles. and that s exactly what greg
