Bob and Janice Bell had been thinking about leaving their historic home in Pewee Valley for quite some time. The five-acre property boasted what Bob describes as every tree you could imagine and they were ready to leave all that maintenance behind.
“I don t want to spend all my time picking up sticks, and backwashing ponds and pools and stuff. I just I like I want to play bridge, I want (to have) my friends over, (and) I want to pester (Bob),” Janice said with a laugh.
They began their new home journey searching for the perfect lot. “We looked in Brentwood, we looked over at Sanctuary Bluff … but my daughter was saying (those neighborhoods were) just too far,” Janice said. “She found this lot. This is like two miles from her house, so it s perfect. And my son lives in St. Matthew s, so he s close, (too).”
