states are and the world was going to hit him with sanctions. buff, you know, the last time we hit him with sanctions big ones in 2014, putin has since had 17 years to make his country $1.5 trillion economy more insulated against any sanctions. and i think his political and military calculation is those sanctions from the u.s. are worth what he is going to get out of it. because he wants more of ukraine to return the form other so ever union to its original splendor. absolutely he does. this is his intention. we have known that all along. he certainly wants to take ukraine. he took georgia. he took crimea. and what did the world do? absolutely nothing. so we need to step up our game. we need to make sure we are pushing firmly back against president putin. again, we need to bolster nato allies. and we need this president to show some strong resolve against
