A two-week curfew from 8pm to 5am starts today in Phnom Penh, a day after a sub-decree detailing administrative measures to contain Covid-19 was issued by Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The Ministry of Health on April 8 issued an announcement on Covid-19 vaccination for foreigners residing and working in Cambodia, directing the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and local authorities to register them.
Phnom Penh municipal police impounded 65 motorbikes and six cars on April 2 for travelling in violation of the 8pm-5am curfew, with the drivers required to self-quarantine for 14 days at home.
Phnom Penh municipal authorities will strictly enforce the two-week, 8pm-5am curfew imposed on April 1 as part of preventive measures to contain the ongoing outbreak of Covid-19, officials said.

The Ministry of Health on February 28 announced the opening of vaccination sites in all provinces from March 1. This came as it recorded 39 more cases of Covid-19, all but four of which were linked to the February 20 community transmission.
The four imported cases are returning Cambodian UN peacekeepers who arrived from Africa via India on February 21.
Among the 35 community transmission infections, five were Cambodians, six were Vietnamese and 24 were Chinese. Eight of the Chinese nationals stayed in Preah Sihanouk province and their infections were discovered when they were tested for health certifications required for international travel. These bring the number of cases linked to the Kingdom’s third community transmission event to 302 in just over a week.
