Faithful encouraged to visit pilgrim churches

Manila Cathedral (Manila Buletin File Photo) Santos urged the faithful to take advantage of the opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence when they visit the pilgrim churches in the different archdiocese and dioceses around the country. “Aside from going to confession, it is important to offer heartfelt prayers in these churches not only for your personal intentions but also for others, the Catholic Church, as well as for the intentions of the Holy Father,” Santos said over Radio Veritas. “We have to take advantage of the opportunity to make a pilgrimage in your own local dioceses and archdioceses because of the privilege to gain a plenary indulgence. Do not miss this chance although it may not be that easy at this time of pandemic. It is also one way to remember the 500 years of Christianity. Pray for the Church, for the intentions of the Pope and pray for the local churches,” Bishop Santos said.
