Now. Cate, we know the employee got a letter yesterday. Reporter thats right, frank. We do know that police have cleared this area. They have taken down the last of the crime tape. All employees are cleared to go back inside the San Mateo County office building. Earlier though, authorities have this area on lockdown. Hazmat, Redwood City Fire Department and the San Mateo County Sheriffs Office all responded around 8 30 this morning. But the San Mateo County Sheriffs Office says this really started yesterday. An employee at the county Code Enforcement office came across this letter that had some white powder on it. It spread to her fingers and lips and she said she felt a burning sensation. But she thought nothing of it, left the letter on her boss desk and continued about her day. The next morning, she woke up fine. But still decided to let someone know about it.
