The California Department of Parks and Recreation said Sunday that controlled burns in San Luis Obispo County are scheduled to begin Monday, April 25, and end in two weeks on Friday, May 6.
– A new exhibition opening at the Morro Bay State Park Museum of Natural History examines the impact of World War II on the Central Coast, and especially on the San Luis Obispo Coast District of California State Parks. This exhibition, sponsored by the Central Coast State Parks Association, will launch on April 27 and will remain on display through summer 2022.
– The Foundation at Hearst Castle was recently named “Nonprofit of the Year” by the Latin Business Association, the nation’s largest organization representing the issues and concerns of Latino business owners. The announcement was made during the LBA’s 45th Annual Sol Business Awards Gala.
