Share Updated: 2:40 PM PDT Jul 1, 2021 An alleged drunk driver crash into a power pole and caused a power outage in Salinas overnight, police reported. According to investigators, Luis Enrique Napoles, 22, was driving a Ford Mustang while drunk when he crashed into the power pole near the intersection of San Juan Grade Road and Boronda Road. The car had suffered major front-end damage. Officers arrived on scene to find Napoles and his passenger still at the crash. Neither vehicle occupants were seriously injured. Napoles was arrested for driving under the influence. Napoles had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit, reported Salinas police officers. Napoles was cited and released to a family member on a charge of driving under the influence.
