Reporter brian, it really crippled the evening commute last night. Gunfire and a car crash. This all happened on eastbound 580 near broadway right underneath the highway 24 interchange. It closed two lanes right before the evening rush. Authorities say the shootout involved two cars one car riddled with half a dozen bullet holes. Its unclear how many people were involved. But witnesses tell us they saw two men running from the scene. A man who lives nearby and did not want to show his face on camera says he saw everything. I just heard a pop, pop, pop. As soon as i heard it, i looked out the window and thats when the crash happened. He says the two men ran off the highway and up 35th street.
