San Diego County Sheriff s Department investigates deadly Ramona shooting

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) â Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man in Ramona early Monday morning.
The incident was reported just after 12:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Main Street, according to the San Diego County Sheriffâs Department.
Sheriffâs officials said deputies and California Highway Patrol officers were called to the area and found a man with a gunshot injury.
Despite life-saving measures, the victim who was not immediately identified was declared dead at the scene.
Late Monday afternoon, sheriff s officials announced the arrest of 32-year-old Elias Ruiz in connection with the shooting. Ruiz, a Ramona resident, was booked into San Diego Cenral Jail on one count of murder.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man was hospitalized Friday morning with non-life threatening injuries he sustained in a shooting in the Bay Terraces area.
Two men, ages 18 and 19, were walking about 4:50 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Satinwood Way when a white VW Jetta stopped near them and two suspects got out of the car and demanded their property, according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.
The suspect got property from one of the victims, but the other refused to give up his property and one of the suspects shot him twice, once in his right thigh and the right side of his back, Heims said. It was unclear which man was shot.

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) â A man was hospitalized after being shot in San Diegoâs Encanto neighborhood, police said Thursday.
The shooting occurred at around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday on Imperial Avenue, according to San Diego police.
Police said the gunfire detection system ShotSpotter reported shots fired in an area near the 6100 block of Imperial Avenue. A second ShotSpotter activation followed shortly after, this time coming from the 6300 block of Imperial Avenue.
Responding officers arrived to find a man lying on the ground in a parking lot of a business. The victim had an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso, police said.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 17-year-old girl was shot Tuesday morning during an argument inside a Rolando apartment, San Diego police said.
Shortly after 12:35 a.m., a security guard reported hearing an argument followed by a gunshot inside of an apartment in the 4700 block of Seminole Drive, near Stanley Avenue off 63rd Street and El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said.
The security guard also reported seeing people run away after the shooting, Heims said. Officers responded to the scene and found that a 17-year-old girl had been shot in the left neck/jaw area.
