SAN DIEGO
San Diego is expected to receive more than $259.4 million from the state’s recently approved $262.6 billion budget to fund projects and programs throughout the city.
The funding will pay for everything from renovations to aging city infrastructure to expanding homelessness programs to repairing the Ocean Beach Pier to funding new developments in science and education.
“These are dollars . are going to help us tackle some of our short-term challenges resulting from the pandemic and our economic downturn, as well as our long-standing challenges that we have wanted to tackle here in San Diego,” said Mayor Todd Gloria.
