It’s the latest feather in the cap of Aguilar, the vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus and the highest-ranking Latino in the majority party’s leadership. Aguilar also serves on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, which oversees federal funding, and is past whip of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
