Four people died in a two-vehicle collision east of Apple Valley on Saturday night, the San Bernardino County Coroner s Office said.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff s Department, emergency personnel arrived at Highway 18 near Sierra Pelona Drive at 8:30 p.m.
Three occupants of a Chevrolet Suburban and one occupant of a Toyota pickup were pronounced dead on the scene.
The site of the crash is about 1.6 miles east of where Bear Valley Road meets Highway 18.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released and it was unclear Sunday what might have caused the crash.

A Yorba Linda man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle accident in Helendale, the San Bernardino County Coroner s Office said.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., emergency responders were called to a reported off-road collision on Wild Wash Road west of Interstate 15, the coroner s office said.
The motorcyclist, Jeffrey Phillip Ogan, 56, was pronounced dead at 12:10 p.m. by Desert Ambulance paramedics, the coroner s office said.
It was unclear if other vehicles were involved.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

A severed human foot found in the middle of a California freeway has prompted a police investigation.
The foot was discovered in the center median of 210 Freeway in San Bernadino by a California Department of Transportation worker on Monday morning.
The employee was conducting routine maintenance in the area near State Street when he made the grisly find around 9:15 a.m. on May 3, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release, reported by the

Caltrans Worker Finds Foot On 210 Freeway In San Bernardino Syndicated Local – CBS Los Angeles
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA) A California Department of Transportation employee Monday found a human foot in the center median of the 210 Freeway, California Highway Patrol said.
According to CHP Inland, the worker found the appendage at about 9:13 a.m. while performing routine maintenance on the eastbound side of 210 Freeway, just west of State Street.
CHP said the area was searched, but no other remains were found. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office took possession of the foot.
