A man convicted of killing a San Antonio police detective documented the aftermath of the fatal shooting on his cellphone, according to evidence the prosecution presented Wednesday.
On Nov. 20, 2016, McKane blew away San Antonio Police detective Benjamin Marconi, 50.
It was not a shootout. McKane was not in any danger.
It was a cold-blooded execution in front of police headquarters.
As if it matters, he got married hours after the murder.
McKane was apparently pissed that cops hadn’t done more to help him in his custody battle with his ex-wife.
Alone among western nations, the United States keeps the death penalty on the books but it is steadily losing steam.
In 1998, about 300 people were sentenced to die in the electric chair, hang or be the recipient of a lethal injection.

A man physically assaulted a bailiff inside a courtroom in San Antonio, Texas, on Monday moments after a jury found him guilty of capital murder for killing a San Antonio police detective in November 2016.
Otis McKane, 30, violently elbowed Bexar County sheriff’s Deputy Isidro Gonzalez in the face as Gonzalez tried to handcuff McKane on July 26, according to video footage of the altercation captured by local ABC affiliate KSAT-TV.
