The organized crime division of the Montreal police force arrested five suspects after seizing seven firearms, drugs and stolen goods during two separate police operations on Thursday.
Three suspects were arrested during the first operation on Thursday morning: Simon Lavoie, 49; Samuel Lavoie, 19; and Daniel Gallant, 52, all of whom appeared at the Montreal courthouse on Thursday and Friday for drug and firearm charges.

Officers searched residences on Gonthier and Grande-Allée Sts. in Montreal and another on Patenaude St. in Laval, where they seized four rifles (two of which were semi-automatic), drugs, and nearly $13,000 in cash. One of the arrests was made at the intersection of Aird and Pierre-De Coubertin Aves. in Laval, the force said.
