Samuel Farrington, of Manchester Road, Leigh, was convicted of an assault by beating. He committed the assault on a male victim on July 2, 2020. Farrington, 31, was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court. He was given a community order and must undertake rehabilitation activity for up to 25 days and do 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. Farrington was given a restraining order and made to pay a £95 surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown prosecution Service, making a total of £180.
