.-The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz announces Kathy Goodell: Infra-Loop, Selections 19942020, a survey exhibition of the artist Kathy Goodell.
Infra-Loop explores Goodells work over the last 30 years, examining an artist who is constantly challenging and reinventing her practice.
The exhibition is on view from Feb. 6 July 11 in The Dorskys Morgan Anderson Gallery and Howard Greenberg Family Gallery. It is guest curated by Andrew Woolbright.
Infra-Loop examines throughlines in Kathy Goodells practice across painting, drawing and sculpture, examining a mystic language that loops between disciplines, coasts and generations.

.-The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz opened Lewis Hine, Child Labor Investigator,an exhibition featuring Lewis Hines powerful photographs for the National Child Labor Commission, which proved the exploitation of young children working in unsafe conditions and ultimately led to American child labor law reform.
Lewis Hine, Child Labor Investigator is on view from Feb. 6 July 11, 2021, in The Dorskys Sara Bedrick Gallery. The exhibition is co-curated by Anna Conlan, curator and exhibitions manager, and Amy Fredrickson, curatorial and collections assistant.
SUNY New Paltz appoints Anna Conlan as new Director of the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art
Conlan assumes this new role after serving as The Dorskys curator and exhibitions manager since 2019.

.- SUNY New Paltz announced the appointment of Anna Conlan as Neil C. Trager Director of the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, effective Feb. 1, 2021. Conlan succeeds Wayne Lempka, who has served as interim director since 2019, and Sara Pasti, who had served as director from 2009-2019.
As Director of The Dorsky Museum, Conlan will oversee all collection, exhibition, education and related artistic programs and activities, in collaboration with the Museums staff, Advisory Board, and many campus and regional partners and stakeholders. She will also serve as administrative head of finances, fundraising, audience development, communications and staff development.

FREDONIA The Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery at the State University at Fredonia will host the traveling exhibition “Dos Mundos: (Re)constructing Narratives,” organized by En Foco Inc. and curated by Juanita Lanzo and Stephanie Lindquist, through Feb. 28.
The exhibition includes 37 photographs by 12 artists of color. “Dos Mundos: (Re)Constructing Narratives” features artists that tell “stories at the fringe of public attention: hidden sanctuaries, subcultures, painful identities, far-away homes, spirituality, transcendence, broken promises, and all too easily ignored social ecologies.”
