Investigators find two dead in Dawson County home, believe murderer shot themselves

The Dawson County Sheriff's Office said investigators found 50-year-old Jenny Adam and 62-year-old James Adam dead in a home on Sams Road after receiving reports of gunshots.

North Mackay traffic lights out after truck hits powerlines

Premium Content Subscriber only Clipped overhead powerlines have caused three different sets of traffic lights to fail amid the Friday afternoon commute in North Mackay. Police are on scene directing traffic along Malcomson Street after the truck hit the overhead lines about 4.40pm. The initial incident was reported at the corner of Malcomson Street and Valley Street where the lines were believed to be hanging low. It caused a signal outage at the intersection of Sams Road and Malcomson Street. A police spokesman said crews were on scene directing traffic but motorists who could avoid the area were urged to do so.

Because he cannot get that project approved, Mr Camilleri said he had not been able to move forward with a 17-lot Sarina housing development. I m at the end of my tether.
