Sammy Gyamfi wants Prez Akufo-Addo to pardon Akwapem Poloo
Lawyer and National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Sammy Gyamfi says the 90-day jail term handed Akwapem Poloo (Rosemond Brown) for publishing a nude photograph of herself in front of her then seven-year-old son last June, is too harsh.
Akwapem Poloo was sent to jail on Friday after the circuit court found her guilty of publishing material with the potential to corrupt public morals. The court found her guilty of all three charges preferred against her and gave her 90 days for each count which all run concurrently.

In the face of this, Sammy Gyamfi and Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata have become recurring names in the past few weeks.
The contribution of Tsatsu Tsikata in the country’s legal matters can never be estimated and has earned him praise and adoration even from members of the opposing camp.
A recent photo sighted online shows the revered lawyer together with Sammy Gyamfi and this has warmed the hearts of a lot of Ghanaians.

National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Sammy Gyamfi says his party is not the only one alleging fraud in the December 7, 2020 presidential polls.
The New Patriotic Party is alleging same, which he says raises questions about the credibility of the polls results as declared by the Electoral Commission.
His comment follows assertions by New Patriotic Party Election 2020 Campaign Manager, Peter Mac Manu, to the effect that the Electoral Commission credited NDC flagbearer, John Mahama with more votes than he actually got.
“We believe, and will prove in Supreme Court that even John Mahama did not receive the number of votes that have been credited to him. We’re going to show that during the course of the trial”, Mac Manu is reported to have told Joy News Wednesday night in response to the Election Petition filed by the NDC and its flagbearer.
