Da L.E.S mourns his dad By Andiswa Ngenyane
Rapper Da L.E.S has lost his father.
The
Baller’s Freestyle singer, who’s named after his dad Leslie Jonathan Mampe Senior, announced the news of his passing on Twitter.
“R.I.P Leslie Jonathan Mampe SNR,” he wrote.
Da L.E.S didn’t mention what the cause of death was. His fellow industry mates and fans comforted the rapper on the tweet.
Refiloe Modiselle, Samkelo Ndlovu, Khuli Chana and DJ Zan D were some of the few that sent messages of condolences to the musician.

FORMER Rhythm City actress Samkelo Ndlovu has taken a break from acting to do music.
And Samu, the name she now goes by, will release her debut single Into Yam on Christmas Day.
Speaking about her decision to put acting on hold, Samu said she needed to sacrifice acting.
“I learnt in my 13 years of being in the television industry that acting will take all of your time,” she said.
“I found it impossible to split my time, so I felt I needed to make the sacrifice in order to take a real plunge.”

A CATFIGHT between former Rhythm City actress Samkelo Ndlovu and rapper Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena created a stir on social media yesterday.
This after the two had a heated argument on Wednesday that almost turned physical.
Samkelo, who recently launched her music career and now goes by the name of Samu, took to Instagram to share that she was performing at an establishment in Sandton and Moozlie got jealous of her.
She also went on a rant on Twitter, resulting in the two entertainment personalities trending.
Samu told Daily Sun about some of the events of the night.
