In a twist to the Sameer Wankhede case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has shifted out the officer who was heading the special enquiry team (SET) and appointed a new central vigilance officer (CVO).
Mumbai, Sep 5 (PTI) The Central Administrative Tribunal has held that NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh could not have been part of the enquiry team set up to probe alleged procedural lapses by IRS officer Sameer Wankhede in connection with the Cordelia cruise drugs case.
Mumbai News Updates: As the city gears up for monsoon, the BMC last week had urged residents and slum dwellers living on the slopes of two municipal wards-M/East and S to relocate at the earliest, to prevent loss of lives from landslides.
The court restricted Sameer Wankhede from transmitting material related to CBI FIR. It also sought the CBI’s affidavit in reply to Wankhede’s plea by June 3.
