Mumbai: Zerodha, India’s largest brokerage platform, will commit $100 million over the next few years to fund climate entrepreneurs and support individuals and organisations working on solutions for climate change.
The
fintech startup has launched an NGO called Rainmatter Climate Foundation headed by tech executive-turned-conservationist Sameer Shishodia, Zerodha founder Nithin Kamath said in a blog post on Friday. “Our business is successful beyond my wildest dreams, but there has always been this void, knowing what we are building is just helping the top 3 to 4% of the Indian population,” said Kamath.
