GORHAM Lauren Leidemann-Smith singled home the go-ahead run in the fourth inning and finished 3 for 4 with three RBI, and the University of Southern Maine advanced to the championship round of the Little East Conference softball tournament with a 10-8 win Thursday against UMass Dartmouth.
The top-seeded Huskies (31-2-1) overcame a 6-2 deficit to win their three-team pod and set up a best-of-three series Saturday in Gorham against No. 2 Eastern Connecticut State (28-2).
