Ask Blaine Leonard what he thinks about the Greenwood girls’ basketball team and you’ll get an honest appraisal.
“I hate playing Greenwood,” said Leonard, whose team beat Juniata and Halifax earlier in the week and improved to 7-0 in the Tri-Valley League and 7-1 overall. “Nothing comes easy. It’s always a grind-your-teeth game.”
On Jan. 30 in Cove, the Blackhawks and Wildcats got together for another in their series of the basketball equivalent of a tug of war.
