Dallas County adds 730 new COVID-19 cases, 31 deaths
Several testing and vaccine sites were closed because of inclement weather.
Dallas County reported 730 new coronavirus cases Monday as it added 31 victims to its COVID-19 death toll.
Most of the latest victims were in their 50s and older. Thirteen were Dallas residents, five were from Garland and four each lived in Grand Prairie and Irving. Two were Carrollton residents and one each lived in DeSoto, Farmers Branch and Richardson. Two of the victims, a Dallas woman and a Grand Prairie man both in their 70s, were known not to have underlying high-risk health conditions.

By late Sunday evening, snow had begun accumulating in North Texas as predictions for one of the worst winter storms on record continued to pile on.
Dallas County on Sunday reported 10 more COVID-19 deaths and 885 new coronavirus cases. The latest victims were nine women and one man in their 40s to 80s..

Due to extreme cold weather conditions, the Ellis Davis Field House and Eastfield Community College (Mesquite) COVID-19 vaccine drive-through locations operated by Parkland Health & Hospital System will be closed Monday, February 15 and Tuesday, February 16. Parkland will contact patients directly with appointment instructions.
The COVID-19 vaccine clinics at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Outpatient Clinic (OPC) will be closed on Monday, February 15. Patients will be contacted by Parkland to reschedule their vaccination appointment in the upcoming days. Please do not contact Parkland.
