Candidates for Bedford County Board of Supervisors District 6, the Bedford Town Council, Virginia s Senate District 22 and House of Delegates Districts 51 and 53 are slated to speak at an Oct. 25 forum at Liberty Middle School in Bedford.
In April, the Bedford County general registrar determined that Republican Tim Griffin met the requirements of a legitimately registered, practicing voter. Most recently, some GOP voters hired a PI to investigate if the candidate actually lives where he says he does.
On a 6-1 vote, the Amherst County School Board opted to maintain a nondiscrimination policy on the books from a year ago and not adopt a model transgender policy from Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s administration and the Virginia Department of Education making rounds through school boards across the state.
