Brownstown splits two games, other area boys teams lose

Junior Carter Waskom pumped in 22 points and freshman Jack Benter added 13 points to help lift the Brownstown Central boys basketball team to a 59-57 victory at Scottsburg Friday night.
The Braves led 14-9 after one quarter and 28-25 at the half. The game was tied, 41-41 after the third period.
The double figure scorers were aided by 9 points from Sam Schepman, 7 from Brandon Reynolds, 4 from Aidan Schroer, 3 from Parker Hehman and 1 point from Nathan Koch.
Saturday, the Braves lost to Evansville Memorial, 47-30, on the road.
Benter and Waskom were again the high scorers, but with just 9 points each in the low-scoring team performance. Schroer scored 4, Hehman and Schpman 3 each and Carson Darlage scored 2 points.
