Bridge Pittsburgh, a nonpartisan political club on campus, hosted its second annual debate between Pitt College Democrats and College Republicans on Tuesday evening in the William Pitt Union Assembly Room.
"Pitt was an affordable option because I'm in-state, but without that tuition discount, $16,000 per student, it just becomes unaffordable," Sam Podnar said.
During a press conference in Schenley Plaza Thursday morning, elected officials and students held a press conference where they urged House Republicans to support a bill that would provide funding for state-related universities in Pennsylvania.
