Views: Visits 6 Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Paul Omotosho, has said that the party in the state remains one big family. The APC chieftain, who was reacting to a statement credited to former Senate spokesperson, Adedayo Adeyeye in Ado-Ekiti, expressed shock that a leader of the party like Adeyeye could link Governor Kayode Fayemi to the purported disciplinary action and subsequent removal of a ward chairman in the state. A statement in Ado-Ekiti, yesterday, signed by Director of Publicity, Ekiti State APC, Sam Oluwalana, noted that genuine leaders of the party should not fan the embers of discord, but rather seek unity.

The National Chairman of the South West Agenda for 2023 (SWAGA), Senator Dayo Adeyeye, has called on the National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Mai Mala Buni, to place Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi on the watchlist of suspected disloyal members.
Adeyeye said this in reaction to Tuesday’s suspension of the APC ward 8 chairman in Ado Ekiti Council area, Mr. Clement Afolabi, for allegedly coordinating for SWAGA in his ward.
SWAGA is a political pressure group within the APC, rooting for Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate, come 2023 against Fayemi’s aspiration.

FORMER Senate spokesperson and the National Chairman of the South West Agenda for 2023, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, on Wednesday, accused Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, of plotting to decimate the All Progressives Congress.
Adeyeye urged party leaders to call Fayemi to order.
He said the governor’s actions and utterances “smirk of quick, deliberate, steps aimed at rescuing victory from the mouth of APC’s nascent national electoral fortunes.”
This was contained in a statement signed by his Media Manager, Mr. Gboyega Adeoye, in Ado Ekiti.
He spoke in response to sack of the APC Caretaker Chairman of Ado Ekiti Ward 8, Clement Afolabi, on trumped up allegation of fraternising with SWAGA, a group which had been canvassing support for the presidential bid of APC National Leader, Senator Bola Tinubu.
