Commenting on the matter, the President, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Francis Meshioye, said the unpredictability of fuel price hikes would take a serious toll on manufacturers who already had to readjust budgets to factor in the added costs caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.
Lecturers under the aegis of the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union on Wednesday announced that its members would only go to their respective campuses twice weekly till the government addresses the issues caused by the removal of subsidy which according to the union has caused untold hardship to its members.
The Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union has directed its members to only go to work twice a week until the Nigerian government increases their salaries by 200 percent. The directive to the lecturers of colleges of education in the country came through a statement on Wednesday, following an extraordinary meeting held on Tuesday.
