Actor Mark Wahlberg is bringing his family’s burger chain, Wahlburgers, to New Zealand. United Cinemas chief executive Sam Mustaca said the company had been following the Wahlburgers concept for several years. While some of the Australian restaurants will be located at United Cinemas, others will be standalone operations. “With its natural ties to the entertainment industry, bringing Wahlburgers into the experience at United Cinemas just seemed like a perfect fit,” Mustaca said. Founded in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2011, Wahlburgers has 49 restaurants in the United States, as well as two in Canada and one on a US Air Force base in Germany.
