Team Rotary raised over $3,600 ringing the bell for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.
Gary J. Dobney, the Salvation Army’s envoy-in-charge, named the other participating teams in the challenge during the Rotary Club’s luncheon.
Alll eight teams in the challenge raised a combined total of over $12,000. Dobney noted the Sheridan Rotary raised about one-quarter of the funds generated in the challenge.
Non-team volunteer bell-ringers raised another $14,000-plus for a combined total of nearly $26,500. In a news release issued earlier, Dobney said the total gross income raised from all of the Salvation Army’s kettles in 2020 exceeded $54,000. That figure includes paid bell-ringers.
