On New Year’s Day, thousands of people marched through the streets of Pasadena, California as part of an annual tradition ahead of the NCAA Rose Bowl going back more than a century. Among the many that marched more than five miles in the 135th Rose Parade was Cheyenne Harris, a 19-year-old resident of Lowell and baritone player for Mass Brass, the 40-piece brass and percussion ensemble from the Salvation Army’s Massachusetts Division.
