The death toll is at 17 in the state of california. Health officials tell us the person was a patient at a Contra Costa County hospital and died sometime thursday. Health officials would not confirm if it was a male or female. The person lived in the county. Apparently they were in their 70s. Health officials expect more deaths from covid19 in the county and they cannot stress enough that you should take care of yourself. This death underscores the urgent need for all close to contra residents to follow the stayathome order and maintain social distancing the state order just issued last night. We believe that by following these orders we can reduce the spread of the virus right now in our community and that will save lives.
