The concession stands at Mother’s Beach, Bayshore Beach and Junipero Beach all had contracts approved by the council Tuesday night with Louisiana Charlie’s, Grill ‘em All and Saltwater Deck winning the contracts at those respective locations.
The contracts for Louisiana Charlie’s and Grill ‘em All are for five years while Saltwater Deck’s contract at the Junipero location is a three-year contract. All of the contracts begin July 1. All locations will serve a mix of burgers and of other options like frozen yogurt, vegan ceviche, pulled pork sandwiches and breakfast burritos, depending on the location.
The Long Beach City Council could approve agreements for the stands at Bayshore, Mother’s and Junipero Beach Tuesday night as well as a contract with Pedal Movement to operate bike rentals stations along the city’s coastline.
