An Ames school science program got a new start this spring after having to take a pause because of the pandemic, and the program is looking for a local business partner to show students science in action.
Science in the City was supposed to start in March 2020, but because of COVID-19, the first meeting of the program was this March, and virtual.
The program has middle school students, mentored by high school students, learn from businesses how science, technology, engineering and math is used every day. Teams then build hands-on demonstrations from what they learn to showcase that STEM knowledge to the public.
