A jury in Essex Superior Court in Salem deadlocked on the sixth day of deliberations and a mistrial was declared Wednesday in the murder trial of Marvin “Skip” McClendon, a former corrections officer, accused of murdering 13-year-old Melissa Ann Tremblay in Lawrence in September, 1988.
