EG GROUP has reported that its partnership with a company aiming to reduce food waste and protect the environment has been a huge success. The Blackburn-based company, founded by Mohsin and Zuber Issa, has been working with Too Good To Go, a firm which allows people to buy Magic Bags of surplus from restaurants and retailers rather than letting it go to waste, since October 2020. The Issa brothers company has now reported that a huge amount of food has been supplied since then. EG Group chief operating officer Salim Hasan said: “Surplus food waste is an ongoing concern across the convenience retail and food service sectors.
